Harvest 2012 - Darn near Perfect

It was an almost perfect growing season, which led us into harvest this year, and once it got started, we were off to the races.  Twenty-plus consecutive days of low to mid 90 degree weather put everyone into high gear.  The sustained heat drove grape sugars onward and for over 3 weeks, vineyard managers and labor-short picking crews worked tirelessly to get crop off the vine and into the wineries.

Once temperatures back into the eighties finally provided a respite and a chance for everyone to catch their breath, the second half of Harvest 2012 proceeded in a more orderly and normal manner.  As relates qualtity for this year, we concur with most reports in that the fruit we picked was exceptional.

Primary fermentation is complete for all of our lots, with selected lots now undergoing malolactic fermentation.  We will continue to monitor these wines, while looking forward even now to the trials and resultant blends, which will be ready for your enjoyment by early summer 2013.

We look forward to your assessment !
