What's New

Fall 2011

Hearty Fall greetings. We hope this finds everyone well and in great spirits as we head into our favorite time of year!

Vintage Update

Following a cool, and untimely wet spring in which rains interrupted the completion of fruit set, we are left to face significant shortages in what will ultimately be harvested, as yields are projected to be down as much as 20 to 40 %. Then we experienced "the summer that wasn't". This summer has been a lot like the summer of 2010, in other words, remarkably cool. The result is that the overall growing season has been extended 2 to 4 weeks, depending upon the individual vineyard and location.

The good news is, that with all this extra time and tender loving care in the vineyard, the quality looks to be exceptional. Extended hang times combined with moderate yields provide time for great complexity, balance and finesse to develop in the fruit. The trick again this year will be to be more patient than usual, to let Mother Nature do her thing, in her own time.

New Releases

Here at Miller Wine Works, we continue to be ever enthused about the evolution of our newest wines in bottle;

Wine Club

The Fall Wine Club will ship the week of October 17th and will include the new releases of Grenache and The Works. We have received early interest in The Works from several Press previews and sales channels, so if you want to ensure you receive an allotment of these Fall releases, there's still time to sign up (and receive 15% off in the process). Click here for more information about the Wine Club.

Autumn Offer

For all your autumn entertaining, keep a mixed case of the 2011 releases on hand. Three bottles each of the Pinot noir, Grenache, The Works and The GM for $375 including shipping. Click here to visit the store.

Harvest is a great time to visit. We would like nothing more than to get together personally, and to pull a few corks. Thank-you as always for your continuing loyalty and support.

Until the next time ...

Cheers !
