Having been inspired by my parents, Alice and Paul, to follow my heart and "to always look at the big picture..." I found myself in wine country. After twelve years as a professional chef who enjoys great wine, the opportunity arose to consummate the marriage of food and wine. The vision was fulfilled by sourcing premium fruit from the Apple Hill region above Placerville, from a low-yeilding vineyard in a relatively cool site. The conditions here encourage Syrah to sing.
