Feasting, Fire, Friends, Fun, Food, Fine Wines and Fund Raising.
September 23, 2017 marked a special night in Sutter Creek. The first ever Feast at the Foundry festivities flew by in a flurry. Luckily, photographic evidence of the fundraising fun exists and is featured here!
FATF was a fundraising event for the restoration and preservation of one of our towns historical landmarks, Knight Foundry.
For a first-time event, FATF went on without failure thanks to fantastic coordination and volunteers. (Shown here: Anne Kramer of Shake Ridge Ranch and Athena Gordon of the Hanford House Inn)
First course appetizers included fantastic foods paired with perfect wine selections from Wine on 49 wineries.
Fine wines were shared with our friends, in part, by our own Gary Miller. (Seen here stoically poised to pour.)
Food, Fine Wines and Fun were promised and fun was certainly had thanks to great music and dancing. We're sure the wine helped this along a little.
Dancing and dinner put the "fun" in fundraising. Guests participated in a silent auction which included great prizes like the 2013 Grenache shown above with all proceeds going directly to the restoration and preservation of Knight Foundry, the real star of the evening.
We here at Miller Wine Works value your patronage and hope to see you at our tasting room in Sutter Creek in the very near future!
